Healing the Hurt

There’s a darkness inside that tries to hide

From reasons to feel alive

It wasn’t always here

Or maybe it has been

And I’m just now aware of it being

So as my shadow comes and goes

I get to heal what gets revealed

Adding one more piece of me

Back to the light of me
